About Castlebar Collies
I am an AKC approved judge for rough and smooth collies as well as junior showmanship for collie specialty shows.
Located in the Northern California foothills.
Craig, my daughter Alicia Barry and I have been involved with breeding and showing rough & smooth collies for a little over 28 years. Besides having them as our loving family members, we are very active in the conformation ring. We are members of the Collie Club of America.
It all started in 1994 when we purchased our first family rough collie, a blue merle at 11 weeks from the Arrowhill & Kanebriar lines. This rough collie was finished to her championship and became CH. Ashley May Bell. Ashley was our foundation. Her sire is CH. Kanebriar Keepsake Pioneer and her Dam is CH. Arrowhill Blue Christmas. Ashley lived to be 13 1/2 years old, we miss her dearly. Most of our line still traces back to Ashley.
Out of Ashley came Castlebar Windsong MsManners, she was bred to CH. Kanebriar Clockwise a beautiful sable rough collie, so began Castlebar Collies. We breed rough & smooth collies with heart and soul! with every breeding we accentuate health and fine quality.
